Q: How far in advance do I need to book?

A: Bookings must be made at least 24 hours before the assigned pick up time for your visit and confirmed by Bangkok Elephants Care Sanctuary a minimum of 12 hours prior to the aforementioned time. Bookings requested on the same day as your desired visit will not be accepted. In order to avoid disappointment, we recommend booking as early as possible.

 

Q: What is elephants world sanctuary?

A: Elephants world sanctuary is a sanctuary for old, sick, abused, retired or rescued elephants. Most of our elephants have lived very hard lives and they come here to retire in peace. We offer the unique opportunity of interacting  with these gentle animals, while learning about the Asian elephant. At Elephants world snctuary our motto is “We work for the elephants, the elephants do not work for us!”

 

Q: How can I visit elephants world sanctuary?

A: To visit ElephantsWorld we ask you to book by using the booking form, please note that we can be fully booked during holiday seasons and its recommended to book in advance. More information about our programs at the links below.

 

Q: Where are you located?

A: ElephantsWorld is located 35 km from Kanchanaburi and 180 km from Bangkok. Our address is 90/9 Moo 4, Ban Nong Hoi, Wangdong Kanchanaburi 71190, Thailand. Coordinates: 14.134863, 99.322924

 

Q: How long does it take to reach the Elephants Sanctuary?

A: On average, it takes approximately 2.5 hours to reach the Elephants World Sanctuary from Bangkok. The time taken may vary depending on variables such as traffic, weather, and current road conditions.

 

Q: What are to roads to elephant sanctuary like?

A: For the majority of the drive to elephant sanctuary, we use paved public roads, however the final portion of the drive to each of our locations includes unpaved road conditions. We recommend bringing medication if you are prone to motion sickness.

 

Q: What should I bring with me?

A: Please bring a change of clothing (you will get dirty/wet!), sunscreen, hat, camera, mosquito repellent and flip flops. Children should bring closed shoes. If you want to make new friends, be sure to pack yellow bananas!

 

Q: How long is the daily program?

A: The program starts when we pick you up at your guesthouse around 7.00 - 9:30 AM. At 10.00 AM you will arrive at ElephantsWorld. The day ends at 15.00 PM and at that time we will bring you back to your guesthouse. We ask visitors coming by own transport to be here at 10.00 AM, at that time we will start with our program.

 

Q: Do you offer Child/Infant rates?

A: Yes. We offer special rates for children (4-11 years) and infants (0-3 years). To view our child/infant rates, please visit our Single Day Tour, Half Day Tour,in the our website.

 

Q: Can I bring my luggage with me to elephants world sanctuary?

A: Yes, you can store your luggage here and we have lockers for your valuable items.
